HOW TO - HOW TO GUIDES

On this page, you can find How To Guides on various subjects that have been submitted to us by pilot teachers.

How to Guide – How to introduce students to computing

This is a How to Guide written by co-developing teacher, Alex Kwofie, from St. Francis Anglican Junior Secondary School in Kumasi, Ghana.

By his own initiative and effort, Alex introduced computer lessons into the classroom by bringing his own computer into the school. Alex sets an example for other teachers that are interested in introducing computing into their classrooms, especially with resource and facility constraints.

In this How to Guide, Alex shares his experiences on how he introduced computing into his classroom, how he roused and maintained students interest, the lessons he used to teach his students and other useful tips for other teachers wishing to introduce computers into their classroom.

How To Guide: Creating a Tire Tracks Club for 2nd graders

This is a How to Guide written by co-developing teacher, Emily West, from Metairie Park Country Day School, Metairie, Louisiana, USA.

In this How to Guide, Emily shares her thoughts on how she will create a Tire Tracks Club for her second grade class and possible activities she will use during each meeting.

If you have how-to guides that you think would be useful for other teachers, please submit them, so we can add them to this page. Examples of useful how-to guides, are: how to integrate the program into your classroom, how to teach reflective writing and thinking skills, how to use technology in the classroom, etc.
