HOW TO - OVERVIEW OF THE TIRE TRACKS WEBSITES

This Tire Tracks education program utilizes information contained in three integrated, but separate Tire Tracks websites:

Kids website: http://kids.tiretracks.org

Student website for the Tire Tracks education program. Website is filled with exciting, live, multi-media content, as well as brief background information on countries, expedition prep topics, and Africa-related topics. Various activities are also available for students to submit their questions and ideas.

This is a safe website where Kids are free to browse the website at their own pace. The site is primarily targeted at 8-15 year olds, although all teachers are encouraged to use the program as they see fit.

Teachers website: http://teachers.tiretracks.org (this website)

Teachers-only website, for instructors using the Tire Tracks education program. Website includes Teacher Planning & Help tools, Background information & Resources, Teachers Toolkit (lesson plans, worksheets and activities), and a Teacher community (global teacher forum, participating teachers), as well as links to relevant expedition content on the Tire Tracks Kids website.

Expedition website: http://www.tiretracks.org

General Expedition website, for public access and students over the age of 15. Information about the expedition and education program, as well as photos, videos, stories, route map, and country background information. Additional information is also provided on the Tire Tracks education program.
